Rashid Shaheed selected to the Pro Bowl as a kick returner (1 Viewer)

I think they meant he should not be returning kicks from 5-6 yards in the end zone to only reach the 22 when he could have taken the touchback and netted the team a few extra yards.

But all that return yardage adds up and looks good on your stat sheet when pro bowl voting begins, and I imagine every player has a Pro Bowl bonus in their contract, so good for him.
Maybe so, but I seem to remember people saying he was too valuable as a receiver to be used as a returner. In that case, I think the coaching staff was right on t this one—you let your best returner do what they do best.

Congratulations to Rashid! Well deserved! :9:

There's still a very remote chance that ShaSpeed may not even get to suit up for the Pro Bowl.

Far out and unlikely, but hey... a guy can still hope and dream, can't he?

Some will get it right away; others will say: "HUH?"

Remember: I said FAR OUT AND UNLIKELY! ...so don't get the long knives out. :ezbill:

I love Rashid as a punt returner and on offense but I honestly don’t remember any long kick returns this year. I’m good with starting at the 25 yard line.

All that return yardage looks even better when the returner gets a few out to mid field or beyond setting up the offense in near scoring positions. You can't do it if you don't try it. His long kickoff return this year (that wasn't called back) was 28 yards and his career long is 31 yards in less than a year and a half of games played. ShaZoom is a threat to take it the distance every time he touches the ball.
