Rattler / Saints QBs taking reps in the freezer (7 Viewers)

I'm genuinely curious about the logistics of this, would love to see some video. There is a fine line between ingenuity and stupidity...

My guess is that the level of 'ingenuity' depends on the person. I can imagine that there could be a certain 'shock factor' if a player is not very familiar with performing in that environment. If Rattler (and his coach) feels that experiencing similar temperatures in practice will help him to mentally prepare for the real thing, there may be some advantage. At least it could have a 'no surprises' benefit. But I suppose that it could also cause a player to focus more on the game temperature than executing the gameplan. Then again it may have no effect either way.

Whenever I've been in some bitter cold temps, being properly layered and staying active keeps the cold from being too much of an issue. I once snow skied in 43°F below zero with a wind chill factor that was much lower. I ended up removing a couple of layers because I was starting to perspire while skiing. Frankly I believe the Packers' defense will be a much bigger obstacle than the cold weather.

Rizzi talked about it a bit in reference to the cold. Said the sidelines are warm, heaters, heated benches etc.

It’s less about the cold and more about the wind and potential rain.

Rattler said Jenocko is a different cat but most people would like him. I thought it was an interesting way to prep, and yet back of my mind I did wonder if it was necessary.

If we leave w/ Rattlers first W it’ll be well worth it I suppose.

The good news? We took Washington to the wire at home, and EPA had them as significantly better than the Packers.

The bad news? Home field advantage likely helped a bit vs Washington and playing GB in their place ups the difficulty.

Big commercial freezers are just a different type of cold. And way colder than the forecast in GB.

From my days in the Army, I always experienced really cold winter mornings around 10 to 20 degrees, the cold didn't affect much. You still ended up.getting hot from exercise. The summer was always worse to deal with.
