The fan response reminds me of last year

  • Lattimore: Hamstring injuries. He'll have problems staying on the field. We needed an end!
  • Ram: OL? Seriously? We don't need OL. Need that DE.
  • Williams: Way too early. We could have picked him later. Need that DE.
  • Kamara: Man, he wasn't even the starter at Tenn.

yeah, absolutely nobody was complaining about reaching with any of those guys. All those guys mightve not filled the most pressing need in the view of many people but all were excellent value at the point they were drafted. That can not be said of Leonard or Jamerson, nor can it be said of the trade we needed to get to 14 as, when using draft charts, we overpaid by a mile

Um. A ton of people were complaining about the Ram pick and giving up a 2nd to get Kamara. Also, the draft charts say what we paid was fair to move up to 14. I'm not sure where you're getting your info but it's all bad.

Yep. nola_dane said it all.

Could be a Armstead-esque steal

we got 1100 and paid 1308.6, so thats giving up a 3rd rounder or something in trade value. And the hate for the picks were trading away future assets and bigger needs, not the value of the players or the trade, thats different.

Took a UDFA-esque player in the 4th round. He'll need to do well very quickly to justify the pick.

Given SP and company being able to find studs at O line late in the draft...

(Evans, Nicks, Strief.)

I’m good with a whiff on this one if that’s what it ends up being.
