RiP Bob Uecker (2 Viewers)

I came here to say that i enjoyed Mr Uecker in Webster.. the show Webster was pleasant to watch…. But then i realized he was not in Webster, he was in Mr Belvedere.. so i enjoyed him in Mr Belvedere .

He was still actively calling a handful of home games on the radio during the season and in spring training. He would always celebrate with the team, this was after clinching the div this past year:

It was nice to see Bob Uecker enjoy himself so much due to the Brewers great run of success they've been enjoying really since 2017. I think they've made the playoffs for 7 consecutive seasons since 2018. The franchise, FO and organization really has turned quite a corner over the past 10-15 years and it gave hardcore old-timers like Uecker something to be proud and happy about in the twilight of their lives. This current Brewers rosters are probably the best overall teams, talent-wise, depth at pitching, relievers, power hitters and overall playmakers since the late 70's/early 80's Brewers teams of the old AL East.

As a Saints and Braves fan back in the day (and this day), I felt this.

Side note, I looked it up to calculate how old he was when he was in Major League (or at least when it was released), Oof. I don't look THAT old, well, at least I don't think I do.

Uecker was the announcer for the Braves when they were located in Milwaukee from 1952/53-1965 for the last couple of seasons there, wasnt he?

So strange. As I was getting to sleep last night, I thought of his commercial where he was sitting about a half mile from the field yelling, “He missed the tag, he missed the tag!”

truly iconic when you remember the performance crystal clear, but have no idea what it was selling

Lite Beer from Miller. Everything you've always wanted in a beer, and less.

Does anyone remember the "Uecker's Pukers" banner hanging in the cheap seats of the Dome in the 1980s?
