Ronald Curry calling plays (1 Viewer)

I thought it was good, I don't know that we can really get a feel for his true ability in a preseason game but I liked it. I have been a Ronald Curry fan for a long time, and was hoping he'd be promoted in the offseason in lieu of keeping Charmichael. Didn't work out that way, but super happy he's still on the staff.

I’m glad that Curry got a taste for play calling. Obviously this was a Vrable letting Terrell Williams play HC for a game, but I think letting Curry cook will pay dividends as he is a smart young coach who could turn into a HC over time.

This had nothing to do with Vrabel letting Williams HC. We did this same thing for Curry last pre-season, and I think it's becoming more common around the league in general.

It’s smart business. Give a well deserving assistant coach the chance to call the game plan is like a company giving an associate or an analyst the opportunity to run their own project. It’s a Great way to see what these guys are made of.

Bump from preseason.

Ronald Curry will be the new OC. It makes too much sense especially since DA gave him playcalling duties in the preseason and the results were favorable. Curry has been groomed for the job. Maybe it has been a succession plan in place all along. The QBs all have been mostly competent under his watch and some probably exceeded expectations in some regards. TeddyB, Taysom, Jameis, Carr. I remember a report coming out that said Curry addressed the team during the Jags game so he must have a strong enough leadership voice in the locker room.

To some it might sound like more of the same from the same regime but Curry might just be able to bring some fresh ideas to the table as OC.

I'd Believe that if he took over duties during the year, I think it will be an outside guy, but it's something to consider.
