Erik McCoy knows this is just an introduction.
The New Orleans Saints hold their three-day rookie minicamp this weekend, but without pads and with most of the players being rookies, it’s hard for anyone to truly show what he could accomplish in the NFL.
Still, the camp gives the Saints rookies a chance to learn some aspects of the playbook and show how they grasp the installation in practice, and so far, McCoy is enjoying his experience even if the learning curve is steeper than what he experienced at Texas A&M.
“The terminology in college was pretty simple,” McCoy said Saturday (May 11). “I’ve learned just the first two days here that it is not simple, but I’m learning.” ...
