Saints and their fans should be thankful (1 Viewer)

So why didn’t the Browns keep Flacco? The team seemed rejuvenated when he came in last year, and now he is playing well for the Colts with Richardson out.

The Browns did us such a huge favor throwing out that historically bad contract to save us from signing Watson. The Saints were all in and put on a full court press to get him. So glad that didn't work out and kind of haven't let the Saints off the hook for wanting him so badly.

Most disappointing thing is that Atlanta did not get him, l remember they were favored over us to land him
+1. The Falcons have not made the playoffs since the 2017 season, so they're gradually amassing top of the first round talent. Unless they draft horribly or make a seriously horrible trade (like Carolina's for Bryce Young), they're bound to have a good season sooner or later. It's kind of like how the Bucs didn't make the playoffs for a decade plus, and drafted a ton of talented players. Though I don't think Atlanta has been getting the kind of long term excellent talent that the Bucs did. Darn.

I was scared to death of Watson from the first hint of trouble, and I'm so glad we stayed away from him. You see that over and over again, people overlook obvious character flaws to improve the team. Character flaws almost never improve your team.

I've said it on this forum and I will say it again. The Saints QB that carries us back to the promise land is not playing in the NFL and very unlikely playing college right now. At best he's in Highschool as worst he hasn't lost his first tooth yet.

Okay I think you are exaggerating a bit there now. lol

The dude literally quit on his team!! The Browns wanted to go for it but he was like nah I’m good
I am all for dunking on Watson, but it was reported yesterday that he walked out of the huddle and to the sideline because they had 12 men in the huddle, including him and would have been penalized had they broken the huddle together. The only option was to call another time out or take the delay penalty.
