Saints Cap Moves: $33,780,933 cap space ….. 8 restructures, 3 extensions, 3 pay cut, 1 release [All current cap moves are in OP below line] (136 Viewers)

Very happy with the decision to bring back Khalen. Is he great? No. But he certainly holds value, makes plays, and is just an overall good guy to have on the team and in the locker room.

Was really thinking they'd release him for the cap savings.
You save $2.5 million releasing him but then when you factor in you replace his salary with someone else's then it's only $1.5 million. Is it really worth it for someone that can be part of a rotation?

$15 million cap space without having to restructure Cam Jordan and Taysom Hill is extremely impressive cap work by Khai and Mickey. Wow

Jordan and Hill are likely Post-June 1 cuts if they don’t take pay cuts. Jordan isn’t playing to his contract value plus Young’s signing will eat future cash.

Hill may miss half a season and 10M is a lot for a TE/FB.

Great point. The top 51 calculation is something I think we all sometimes fail to account for when looking at items like this.

Where does Saunders play in Staley's Gap and a Half system? Is he a DE or is he rotational NT?
I think he would primarily be a NT, he played 93% of his snaps last year lined up between a 0 and a 2.

One thing about Saunders for this scheme is that he has sneaky length, with a wingspan:height ratio of 1.08:1. One common denominator across the Eagles front seven is that high wingspan:height ratio, I think their lowest is 1.08:1. Our lowest is Bresee, at 1:1.
