I’ve yet to see him get off a block, stop a run or make any impactful plays ever. Clear enough?I ask this again…what specifically is he not doing? Are you grading tape, evaluating his technique, understand his gap assignments, is he not twisting or doing stunts when he’s supposed to, is he not minding the gap he’s supposed to, do you know when and if he’s assigned to take on blockers on a given play for run fit purposes? Are you watching the behind the QB view, the all-22? What is it?
This evaluation of a role playing DT intrigues me because it keeps getting repeated, yet here, we have a brand new coaching staff and front office that has poured over film and decided he’s worth a modest extension, but external fan observers say he isn’t worth it. Based on what? Has he just not made enough fun looking plays for your liking?
