It's official -- we got the group tickets!

The Panthers' ticket office emailed me a confirmation today. I'll be contacting individuals later (maybe today) about payment. According to the confirmation email I recieved, the tickets will be mailed to me NLT September 15th.

Here is the text of the email I recieved:
The Carolina Panthers would like to thank you for your support by purchasing Group Sales tickets for the 2008 season.

We are in receipt of your application and are confirming you for the following game:
New Orleans Saints 35 Tickets

In preparing your group outing, please be aware of the following:

Refunds/Exchanges
If your plans have changed, please respond to this email within 24 hours. Otherwise, all sales are non-refundable and can not be exchanged for another game.

Ticket Locations
Tickets will be located in the upper level corners of the stadium, above row 25. Specific seat locations are not available until tickets are printed and shipped.

Ticket Mailing
Please refer to the following schedule for an estimated shipping date of your tickets:
Indianapolis no later than July 28th
Washington no later than July 28th
Chicago no later than August 18th
Atlanta no later than August 18th
Kansas City no later than September 15th
New Orleans no later than September 15th
Arizona no later than September 15th
Detroit no later than October 29th
Tampa Bay no later than November 10th
Denver no later than November 10th

Please feel free to contact us should you have any additional questions. We look forward to seeing you at Bank of America Stadium this Fall!
If anyone else is interested, send me a PM. The tickets will be upper level and will be $50-55 each. If you don't want to sit up high, you're on your own for tickets. For the record, there's not a bad seat at Bank of America stadium. Also, 30+ Saints fans sitting together in the visitor's stadium makes for an awesome time.

Here is the list of claimed tickets I've received so far:

RandyB - 6
bigchinguy - 4
InkSpot47 - 4
MamaSaint - 2
TulsaSaint - 3

Well, as usual, I plan to organize something for the game in Charlotte. Group ticket applications will be available on May 1. If the Saints game is offered (they only offer certain games), I plan to get group tickets. We did it 2 years ago and it worked out great. Unfortunately, last year the Saints game was not offered. Anyway, if it's like it was 2 years ago, I'll get 30 tickets. I already know where most of them will go. If anyone else is interested, send me a PM. The tickets will be upper level and will be $50-55 each. If you don't want to sit up high, you're on your own for tickets. For the record, there's not a bad seat at Bank of America stadium. Also, 30 Saints fans sitting together in the visitor's stadium makes for an awesome time.

Sent you a PM.

We are working in Charleston and would love to meet up with some fellow Saints fan for the game in Charlotte.

I just found out that group tickets ARE being offered for the Saints game. I am preparing the order form, but cannot submit until May 1. I need to decide how many by that time. Let me know ASAP. I plan to stay up until midnight tomorrow and fax the application at 12:01 AM.

As previously stated, I will pay for all tickets up front. If you tell me you want them, be prepared to send me the money.

I am in for 2 and sent you a PM. I assume there will be some type of tail-gating before the game. We will drive up from Charleston that morning and back that evening.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

:9: There will definitely be tailgating. As of last night, SaintMike is planning to be there with his Saints Party Bus. Here is video from last year's tailgating:

I'am just confirming that I will be there with the bus again this year. I had a great time meeting and hanging out with everyone last year. I'am in for the keg too. See everybody October 19th...bright and early...like 8am....come on..once a year that the Saints are in town...you can get up and drink that early can't you?

Sure I can drink that early, but will have to leave Charleston around 4 AM. I guess we can get there and eat a big breakfast and then start drinking. The time of 8 AM is only 2 hours earlier than what we do at the home games. Only difference is I have a 3 hour drive after the game. Maybe the wife can drive home (lol). Not a chance in HELL, she will be drinking before I do.

Normally, I stay at the Residence Inn, which is across from the stadium. This year (for the first time) they were full. I made a reservation at the Marriott in downtown. It's just a few blocks from the stadium and it's where the team has stayed the past few years. It also has a pretty nice sports bar on the ground floor. Charles Grant was in the bar last year and I got to speak to him.
