I agree he looks good. But I'm also concerned about ushering a rookie in when it's not warranted. Nothing wrong with him sitting his rookie year and learning. Nothing.

If we gotta play Haener and he performs then we have some pretty hefty injuries and I would be OK and confident he could win some games for us. But he is a rookie that wasn't drafted in the 1st round.

You do not wanna baptize your Rook by fire by having at number 2 when you don't need him to be your number 2.
Totally agree, and I’ll give you credit on “the ready for limelight” comment. It’s way too early to suggest that Jake can handle the limelight. (The limelight is a thing on its own. The pressure of playing well when expected to play well). But I strongly felt that JH played with more poise and confidence overall than Winston tonight. But the reason could be, that Jake plays better with weaker teammates than JW plays with the same weaker players. This was evident In the oline not holding as much and Wrs catching and moving the ball. And the run started to work as a result. At this point, I would say JW is more suited to play with the 1’s & 2’s over JH. It comes back to the “limelight“ comment which is unknown for JH. But JH is on a good trajectory in a couple of years behind Carr. Some Qbs literally fold and choke when they become a starter. JW did not lack starting confidence.

Again you have no idea what you are talking about. I hope Haener gets reps with the 2nd Offense to see if he is ready for the lime light. I'm fine with Haener sitting this year and learning. There is no need to force this young man into the fire.

This is idiotic thinking based on your Winston hatred.
I would bet everything I Own that I have 100% more qualified knowledge in what I’m talking about than you.

Get lost.

After his Rookie year..if he beats out Winston then so be it. But this season he sits and tries not to groce me out with the breastmilk in his mouth.

I like what I see outta Haener. But let's let him earn it.

If he plays next week like he played today, he’s earned it
