Allen Deserves his flowers.

To do that in this modern league is BEYOND impressive. I have my gripes with his playcalling in key situations (like that damned prevent defense) (ironically were in prevent defense when we gave up that dumb arse catch to minessota) but otherwise this is quite a feat.

While sone people are upset about the offense, I choose to praise the defense.

It's far easier to work on improving the O vs the D as the season progresses
Agreed. We have a new QB, 2 new “starters” on the O line, n are w/o our best RB in AK.

But we ain’t the only O dats been struggling a bit so far this season. Teams featuring some of the best Os n top QBs in the NFL like KC, BUFF, CINCY, ain’t been lookin too good either.

Meanwhile, our Defense HAS been NOTORIOUS for its slow starts early in da season!

Not this year!!!

Man, THIS group done come out the gate playing FAST and HARD! They are a legit top 5 group! They are VERY good, and they KNOW it! Dare I say it : they got a lil “swag”! 👍🏾

While it ain’t been pretty so far, I’m optimistic that the offense WILL eventually improve. Until then, I’m feelin pretty confident that the D can n will hold things down until they do!

Congratulations to the Saints Defense for extending their team record of holding opponents to 20 points or less in 11 consecutive games.

While blowing a 17 point 4th quarter lead is quite embarrassing and unforgivable, it can't all be blamed on the Defense.

Sometimes it's hard to find the silver linings in a Loss but this is a streak I'm sure we would all like to see continue.

Doesn't seem to matter if we hold them to 20 points, our record over the 11 games is 6-5. Does that even sound possible? We are so far away from those 40 burgers we used to get, that I don't know if this team will score 24 pts. in a game all year. As Saints fans, we went from a prolific offense to one that scores a touchdown a game. I do know that Carr has to get his clock right, nobody in the NFL except Mahommes gets 4 seconds to throw. That's why we only have 2 big plays a game, the other 10 are shutdown by pressure. Middle of the field is where good teams feast when the OL can't hold up, and we ain't doing it.

11 straight games holding opponents to 20 points or less.

And we are 6-5 in those games LOL
Looking back, we have only scored more than 20 points twice during that stretch and have averaged 15.5 points per game. That is inept offense.

That has to be post 2000 some kind of record for offensive futility. I'm sure many of those came from defensive or special teams play.

As for the D, you just gotta suck it up in games like Green Bay. That is why this defense will always be very good but never elite. Elite defenses refuse to let that collapse happen, especially against mediocre teams.
