Saints @ Detroit (2 Viewers)

I live in Windsor and will be away Friday and Saturday but I'll be back for the game Sunday and would be happy to meet up with anyone from SR. Instead of buying tickets in advance, I'm going with cash in hand because I think better tickets will be available outside Ford Field likely at face or less.
 
LOL, that's fine by me then! Has anyone ever been to Detroit for a game? I am hearing that there are parking towers where the tailgating happens, any truth?

hey, have you talked to joe lately? if i get a ride up to windsor..we could go together..maybe get a hotel room on that sunday night because i wouldn't be able to get picked up until monday late afternoon or night.

tell (jdf) i said hello..i say his pm from last year but i was out of "dodge" for abit..maybe we could hook up for some beers and the game..let me know what you fellas have planned
 
My wife and I are going. She got me this as a Christmas present. We're going to watch my beloved Red Wings play the Kings Sat. night @ the Joe. Then our Saints CRUSH Detroit Sunday.

I too will be at the Kings and Wings game I am just going to hit up a scalper I think for my tickets. After looking around on the web and talking to some people in Detroit it seems they go to Eatern Market to tailgate, anyone know if that is true? Here is a link for you all:

i'm going to the Red Wings / Kings game as well... I might even wear my Colston Jersey there. We have sweet tickets right beside the Kings bench . Our seats for the game on sunday are 3 rows from the field in the endzone. I'd love to meet up with you guys.

Where did u get those tickets? and how much did they set you back?

I have never been to Detroit but hear the tailgating is not like Chicago and was advised to hit up Eastern Market. Where is everyone else going to go? I'd rather party with Saints fans' then winless Lions :)
 
Superstar tickets is where we got our tickets from. Just a few dollars over face value. It sounds like scaplers will be trying to get rid of tickets at the field if you can wait and take a chance.
I'm guessing we're going to the eastern market as well. My buddy is a big Lions fan so it's going to be fun.
 
I got my tickets for Sunday's game already sitting on Saints side lower level. I am just holding off for Wings tickets until the last minute. Scotty is your buddy from Detroit? Would he know if Eastern Markets is the place to go?
 
No, my buddy is from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia...just like me. This is his 1st time at the Joe but 2nd time at Ford Field. He says the market is the place to go...but maybe not for Saints fans by themself.
I think with the Lions 0 - for we should be okay.

We're staying in Windsor. Anybody else???

Change of plans we are not hitting up the Wings game on Saturday, we are just going down for the game and staying over in Detroit at the Hilton Garden, not a far walk to the Field. Looking at the Eastern Market map and the map of the hotel it seems you have to cross 3 highways (or Interstates) to go from the Markets to the Field, does anyone know if that is right?

We are 126 Saints side!!!!!
