After 16 weeks, there are nine teams that have fewer than five wins. That number is historically high. Going back the past seven seasons, I see far fewer teams with fewer than five wins--2017, four; 2018, four; 2019, three; 2020, six; 2021, four; 2022, three; and 2023, four. We could finish 5-12 and be drafting 10th.

Sounds like classic Saints.

Everything that can go wrong...

Typical Saints type deal…we really stink but #10 is the best we can snag. It’s reality though and hopefully we don’t goof up against the Bucs and lose that top ten pick. Ya hear us Saints!?! ;)

I think that it will make this years draft pretty exciting…a ton of deseperate teams at the top third of the draft. We all need franchise QBs and there are what..2 legit prospects?!?

I’m not sold on any of these guys as “guaranteed” franchise guys. I find Cam Ward and Quinn Ewers to be interesting. I don’t trust Bama QBs much so I’d personally pass on Milroe. Idk if Shadeur Sanders (or his father) would even want to be in New Orleans but I don’t think he’s bad just not one of those “definitely going to be good” QBs. If we draft Carson Beck then we should fire whoever made that decision, even if it’s a wholly brand new staff. I do not see it at all with him.

Personally I hope we go BPA and I hope that player is a great defensive end or offensive lineman, though our biggest needs on the line are at guard and they don’t go top 10 generally.

Don't worry, because the team next year is unlikely to be better

I like Milroe and he will be available late in round one. We could trade back and still get him plus gain some picks.

Has anyone done the math on the 4 win teams, if they win, which teams would drop behind us?
It’s based on strength of schedule, then the playoff tiebreakers. Probably means that if a current 4 win team wins, the Saints lose because of their weak schedule. Ugh.
