Saints Drafting Position--Historically High Number of Really Bad Teams (1 Viewer)

I like Milroe and he will be available late in round one. We could trade back and still get him plus gain some picks.
If we pick Milroe anywhere in the 1st then the whole front office needs to be fired. Milroe is physically gifted, but has a ways to go to be a starter. We have way too many needs to be wasting a first rounder on him. I don't see him going until the 2nd or 3rd.

In the past, we always win the last 2-3 games, moving us up to 7-10, 8-9…..still missing the playoffs but hurting our draft spot. This season, we at least lost the key late games…..starting with Washington.

I don't know why people want to reach for a QB. Ewers, Beck, Milroe? I'm not sold on Ward and Sanders is going to be a circus. Rattler is as good as Beck and Ewers in my opinion. Just too many pieces we need right now to reach for a QB.

It’s based on strength of schedule, then the playoff tiebreakers. Probably means that if a current 4 win team wins, the Saints lose because of their weak schedule. Ugh.
Strength of schedule works in reverse for draft pick order, so if teams are tied on W/L record, the team with the lowest strength of schedule picks first. Our current strength of schedule is .507, with the Bears at .554 the Raiders at .544 and Jets at .502, so if any of those teams win in week 18 there's a decent chance we'll move up in the draft order.

I'm 99% certain we can't pick any later than 10th, so fingers crossed we can move up a spot or 2 on Sunday.

Very good. So, the weaker the schedule, the better the draft position. Makes sense.

Getting him the third would be a steal. I remember the year Prescott came out. No one thought he could be a starter either. I didn’t u derstand the logic, sometimes I think a draft guru says something about a player and everyone follows his lead. We could find a spot on the field for Milroe even if it’s not at qb.
