Saints exploring cornerback market, including C.J. Henderson (1 Viewer)

We do not disagree lol. I think the way this is playing out is vastly diminishing his value.
I see no way there would be a one on one swap of MT for CJ. You are talking an AllPro for an unproven 2nd year guy. Jville IMO would have to pony up at least a 2nd and maybe a 4th to get MT, along with CJ!

Bleacher Report is hilarious to say the least.

A Bleacher Report article today puts forward some trade offers that may be similar to what the Jags may expect... for CJ

Dallas: TE Dalton Schultz plus a 2022 1st round pick
New Orleans: 2022 1st round and 3rd round picks
Arizona: DE Chandler Jones plus a 2022 2nd round pick

I don’t know what they’re smoking but he hasn’t done anything to be worth a 1st + He’s a used car. That top 10 value went out the window right after he was drafted.

That is an absolute joke. As of this point., Henderson has done nothing and has a few red flags flying around. If they can get a 3rd rounder, they should jump on it.

I forget. How many 1st round picks did we give up for top 10 pick Eli Apple?

If it happens I hope you’re right. I know MT is the vastly more proven player.

I really wonder who else they’ve inquired about trading for on other teams. Surely they’ve been pounding the pavement behind the scenes.

What’s the reason for the Jags wanting to trade him after a year? Is that on him or the Jags?

No telling. He tore his labrum last year and missed half of the season. Then he was out with some COVID related stuff. They had a different coaching staff when he was drafted which interesting enough was former Saints coach Doug Marrone. They signed a corner in free agency and spent the 33rd pick on Tyson Campbell. So they've pretty much replaced him.

I don't know this for a fact... but from what I've heard from different outlets is he just doesn't want to be there (in Jacksonville). Also, they are changing from a primarily man-coverage defense to a zone-heavy defense, and he's a man cover corner.

So maybe the scheme is the reason why he wants out, or he just may not want to be a part of the organization. Again.. that's what I've gathered from different things I've heard/read.

The Saints are without MT, and the #2 from last year, and TQS is injured. Now the top 2 receivers are a UDFA from last year and a guy that was playing lacrosse a couple weeks ago, a QB that nobody wanted in Jameis, and a joker competing for QB...and the offense is looking pretty good. Maybe the offense is less about how good the offense really is and more about who it's going against outside of Lattimore.
Maybe we should sign a washed up safety for an obscene amount of money. This feels a lot like the stretch from 2013-2016 except we don't have our HOF QB.
