Saints to interview Giants OC Mike Kafka [Interview scheduled for Thursday January 9th] (6 Viewers)

As I said in the bigger thread from Andrus, it's an interesting name. Former Northwestern (Illinois) QB so you know he is smart. Also was Mahomes QB coach and passing game coordinator for a few years before moving to the Giants as OC. Obviously the Giants offense wasn't good but hard to know if that's scheme or personnel.

On first glance you don't really want someone from the Giants, but he does have the Andy Reid pedigree.

Interesting. He had five HC interviews last year. Giants added the AHC title to him. Mahomes' QB coach for four years and passing game coordinator for two of them. But wasn't really on my RADAR since the Giants haven't been a great offense. I don't know what to think about it. But I like that it's an offensive guy who developed Mahomes.

Should ask for permission to interview Franz Kafka. He could lead us to a metamorphosis of the entire organization.
As Bob Ross used to say, "Let's get crazy" and just a paint a tree anywhere :)

In this case, let's just shout out anyone's name as a potential interviewee :)

Keep in mind, these are just the first round of interviews. That doesn't mean every guy they interview will be a serious contender for the job. It looks like they are thorough with their search and they are looking at some guys who have a history of developing young QBs. I much rather a search filled with young assistants/coordinators over retreads and old guys.

Just as u know reid calling kc plays daboll controls giants ponder just how much input he has in either situation.
I'd rather not matt nagy though.
