You don't make a free agent LB your highest paid LB by a mile in order to play him in a two-down role. Davis is your starting MLB. Write it down.

You should see some other team boards. Some of them create a thread on a player when they draft/sign him and use that thread for all discussion of that player their entire career. It's crazy.

Always fun to revisit a thread like this. We had no clue whatsoever that we were signing a legendary Saint and potential HOFer.

There are so many players in the league that just aren’t in the right situation, or needs different scenery, or a different system, different culture, different teammates, etc. in order to thrive, and he is a prime example.

That's why making declarations about players in their first season with a new team are so fruitless.

People were talking about a possible Vilam 2.0. Little did we know we were getting Demario Davis 1.0. DD is my favorite LBer to watch since The Dome Patrol. Vilma was great but DD does things I haven't seen many LBers do. Truly special ball player and I'm glad he spent his prime in NOLA. One of the all time great Saints signings.

I wanted to bump it as Demario is on a HOF path. Maybe not his first year eligible, but he should get in based on his performance in the tail end of his career

LBer is another tough position to make the HoF playing. Proportional to the average of 3 LBers on the field for every 1 QB LBers as a group arent well represented in the HoF.


I hope he gets in but he is in a long line.
