Saints interviewed Eagles OC Kellen Moore [ 2nd interview completed on Jan 27 in Philly] (21 Viewers)

It's possible that the Saints and MM's team have been talking.

If MM is their first choice, I can see reasons why they schedule him last. If MM isn't their first choice, I can see reasons why they schedule him last. My point, I don't think MM being scheduled last really gives us any insight into what they think of him.

Last might not matter, but waiting four days after talking to Moore when we are late in the cycle and staffs are being put together seems at best odd and at worst a really bad idea.

Why would you waste those 4 days when you could be putting together a staff?

She sat in on a meeting with Desean Watson and flew to meet him. Maybe she isn't sitting through the entire meeting, but she could have gone to meet him and talk for a bit.

You could be right, but I find it odd that if it was MM's job they wouldn't be waiting until the end of the week to talk to him and they wouldn't have flown to Philly this quickly right after the NFL Championship Game.

If MM was the choice and they were just doing due diligence it seems like they would have already talked to MM or would meet with him before the end of the week.
I'm sure they would like to get a young Payton clone , because let's face it MM is 61. I doubt no matter what we would not get 10 yrs of him being the HC. So that's why we're going to interview Moore. I think they want Moore to just wow them. But in the end I still think it's MM

I don't think Moore is as much a culture changer as MM is

I think that both candidates already have the guys they want in mind. MM more so than Moore. In fact I think that MM would be able to assemble a better staff due to him being successful in the league for longer

WHo do you think MM would bring in as OC to groom or would he possibly be the playcaller for 2 to 3 years to right the ship first?

You could be right but there has been talk that Loomis was very impressed by Moore and there is talk that the Saints front office isn't enamored with MM. Could just be talk and could turn out none of it is true. But, combined with making the effort to fly to Philly it kind of looks like Moore may be the target.

People think because we are going to Philly to interview Moore that he's the favorite? I don't, If Moore was the favorite then he would be coming here to tour the facility maybe meet Mrs B. . And they'd make him an offer. While I think we have a good interest in Moore I think MM is still the front runner , maybe not by a lot and that's why he's scheduled last
I agree. They are going to see him for two reasons. One becaue he’s busy. And they are saving him a trip to Nola considering he’s coming here in two weeks. And two, the Saints don’t want to get rejected again, like what happened with Brady. So at least now they got the interview done, so they can appear that they’re in the drivers seat. If he were there guy, he’d be coming to Nola. Because both party’s wanted to meet in Nola. It’s not like when a group went to go and get Deshawn Watson.

Hopefully we’ll have some good news by tomorrow afternoon
Moore has to be their guy. I don’t see the whole front office contingent flying all the way to Philly for a couple hour interview if he wasn’t. Could’ve just been for everyone to meet him in person and let him know they want him so he can start assembling a staff. Usually these second interviews last hours on end, not 2-3 hours.

Doesn’t sound reassuring. What, they didn’t stop him from going to sleep until he said yes.

Drawing speculation from nothing but a factual statement because it's a simple factual statement.

One could easily draw the conclusion that it went till 2 am est because it was going so well.

I can't say either way. But the interview started around 6pm. By 10, if I didn't like what I was hearing or how it was going, I'm going home to get tucked into bed to dream the sweet dream of coaching the superbowl to wake up refreshed and ready to start rock n rolling that gameplan.
