Saints interviewed Eagles OC Kellen Moore [ 2nd interview completed on Jan 27 in Philly] (16 Viewers)

You do realize these same LSU fans in 2006 went to a Saints game at Tiger Stadium & cheered like crazy for a Nick Saban led Miami Dolphins team...

The same Nick Saban who couldn't wait to get out of Baton Rouge!
the latest interview i saw from Saban says leaving LSU was his biggest career mistake

thats today not back when he left and before his Ala. run

basically it was leaving college to go to pros where the pros didnt provide him what he liked most about coaching - the player development in college

So, you want Loomis to lie to you , because there won't be playoff expectations for two years... Which is perfectly valid reality to live in being honest with that. You tell him he gets build his team exactly how he wants to do it and he'll get years to do it on a lengthy deal.

If you wanna purge the old, aging salary as much as we can and guarantee you a top QB prospect. We can and probably should do that.
I think Loomis honestly believes this team is built to win now. Now, we all know the reality. I just cannot see him telling any coach there are no expectations the first 2 years.

Folks, cease-and-desist derailing the thread into racial/criminal justice system topics. If you want to do that, start a different thread on the EE and then try to have a respectful discussion (or that thread will be closed or we're going to start banning individuals from the thread).

Who was the last Super Bowl assistant coach to get a head coaching job? Zac Taylor?

He was announced HC the day after the game. It's kind of surprising that it doesn't happen more often. The wait is even more frustrating now that the Super Bowl has been pushed back due to the 17 game schedule. You're almost at a disadvantage as a coach due to your own success.

It'll be common knowledge before the official announcement. Rest easy.

Shane Steichen (IND) & Jonathan Gannon (ARI). Both hired after Super Bowl LVII two years ago.

I hope Moore is the guy because i really don't love the current alternatives. Has Kingsbury been invited to interview now that he's out of the playoffs? Did he decline?

This completely slipped my mind and now I’m curious why we haven’t heard anything at all.

I’m personally not big on kingsbury. We would very likely have a similar amount of success that he had in Arizona which was not impressive at all.

I know he chose not to interview while they were still in the playoffs and couldn't once they were in the NFCCG. So I think yesterday was the first day he could interview again. But I haven't heard anything. I did just read that the Washington GM said he didn't know about Kingsbury immediate future but that he did say "I'm sure his time is coming soon".
