Colston is my favorite Saints receiver followed by Eric Martin. For some reason I never put it together until today that Martin was also a 7th round pick. Learn something new every day...

My only thing I wish he have was speed. I kind of compare him to Sterling Sharpe but slower.
Yep, Martin was slower than a line at the DMV, but he would catch just about anything that Bobby Hebert threw in his direction. That's one reason why I hated to see Hebert jump all over him publicly when Eric decided to cross the picket line during the NFL strike. Martin did a lot to make Bobby's career numbers look as good as they did.

Wes Chandler was our best receiver ever... but wasn't here long enough to pad the stats for his time with the Saints.

:gosaints:

Chandler was very good, but he played one more year than Colston actually and Colston had more catches, yards and TD's....That said, different eras and all but they were vastly different WR's.....I'd take Colston over Chandler every day of the week...some of the hits he took fairly regularly would end Chandler's season....

i guess no love for M.T anymore?

These are excellent players but lets face it whether you love or hate M.T until his injury he was at hieghts never achieved at his position in the NFL.

So you're saying we need to start using every 7th round pick we have on WR's? I like that strategy.

I think he means top 2 in receiving yards:
