Just here to point out how much of a unit Heyward was. One of the reasons I became a Saints fan during the dome patrol era.

That must have burned up a quarter and a half. RIP Hokie.Hokie 62 yards. Lord. Did they tell the defense he was "special" beforehand?
Eh, for about three seasons. Older fans like me will remember he had some of the same addiction issues Muncie had. Turned himself around in enough time to have more of a life after football than Muncie did.George Rogers was an absolute beast!
Most of Reggie's memorable plays were nearer the red zone (i.e. his long leap for a TD vs. Miami in '09) or were pass receptions. The two longest plays from scrimmage I remember from his best games as a Saint were pass receptions, the long one for a TD in '06 vs. Dallas and another long one the same year, vs. the 49ers, but wasn't a touchdown.
I do not remember Alvin Maxsom. I mean, that was right after Tony Baker and Andy Livingston were the featured backs and I remember them well, but for some reason Maxsom draws a blank.1. George Rogers - 1981 - 79 Yards

A few things jumped out to me when looking this up.
George Rogers owns the 2 Longest Runs in Saints Franchise History, and he only appeared in 51 games over just 4 years as a Saint. Mighty Impressive! Especially for a big guy that was 6' 2", and 228 pounds.
Deuce McAllister is one of only 2 players that have 3 of the longest runs in the top 25. He also holds the #26 spot. And DM22 was another big back at 6' 1" and 232 pounds with breakaway speed.
Mark Ingram II never seemed to be considered fast, but he is the only other player that has 3 of the longest runs in the top 25. I wouldn't have guessed that.
Mark Ingram II and Rogers are the only two players with 2 of the top 10 longest runs in Saints History.
Taysom Hill joined George Rogers, Deuce McAllister, Mark Ingram II, and Mario Bates as the only 5 players that have at least 2 of the Top 25 Longest Runs From Scrimmage in Saints Franchise History.
Reggie had a couple 70-80 yard plays but they were either punt returns or catch and runs.Surprisingly no sign of Reggie Bush in the top 25. I thought he'd have at least one.
