Cliff notes, dummy that down please
Cliff note — using the very imperfect approximate value from PFF — we’re neutral with respect to trading up (outside of the home run of the Kamara trade).

Approximate Value. It's an overall statistical career grade. Not a big fan of it, uses some questionable methods imo. That said not much else out there that does what it does.
Those picks could get us to between pick #13 and pick #16. Somewhere in that range.Guys and gals, would our 71 and next year’s 2nd get us up to shout 15ish? Thinking we’d need more…..(hoping to hang on to 40)
Not trying to thread hijack, figured this would be a good place to ask. I’m not good with the charts.
This chart does not reference that we are good at trading up. Remove AK41 and we are basic AF. Like I said in another post, I’m not sure if you can count Ram bc Cooks was traded before the draft. So that pick is not indicative of us trading up in the draft. It’s just a pick from an earlier trade.
Gotcha. Ty.Those picks could get us to between pick #13 and pick #16. Somewhere in that range.
Pick #29, pick #71 and second round pick in 2024.
Probably gets you up to around pick #13-16 this year. Depending on who is there, that a likely scenario for the Saints.
I think the Saints history of trading up has not been bad. Mostly a wash or slightly positive. I'm OK with a trade up in that range for Bijan if he is still on the board.
As well as Ram being chosen only because Rueben Foster was snagged right out of our lucky hands on draft night. This chart does not reference that we are good at trading up. Remove AK41 and we are basic AF. Like I said in another post, I’m not sure if you can count Ram bc Cooks was traded before the draft. So that pick is not indicative of us trading up in the draft. Our first ( 29 ) and 3rd ( 71 ) this yearOkay so what would it take for us to trade up from 29 to 20?
If it's for Van Ness or Murphy 1st and a 3rd would be worth itOur first ( 29 ) and 3rd ( 71 ) this year
Okay so what would it take for us to trade up from 29 to 20?
The chart says our first (640 points) and third (235 points) this year gets us to the point total of pick #19 (875 points) this year. Tampa Bay has pick #19, so that trade gets you around pick #18 (900 points) or pick #20 (850 points) because you have to figure the Bucs won't trade with us.Our first ( 29 ) and 3rd ( 71 ) this year
I've seen a few articles projecting Van ness to the Falcons at 8 or the BearsIf it's for Van Ness or Murphy 1st and a 3rd would be worth it
Yes same with Murphy, I think they're both gone before 15.I've seen a few articles projecting Van ness to the Falcons at 8 or the Bears
at 9. I doubt he falls to 20
The difference is 67 pts, so we’d have to give up our 3rd rd pick.Okay so what would it take for us to trade up from 29 to 20?
