I think shuffling the LBs around all camp was the biggest issue. I just wish we could've locked them into a position before opening the season against a division rival.

The whole defense had a bad game. Of course you're going to get shredded when there's no pressure on the quarterback.

Well, you're not going to get any sorta pass rush when your DBs cant even cover for 2 seconds. That game was a bad overall defensive showing, but every single film review I've seen has shown that it started and ended with our corners and safeties.

Our offense is ranked #14 and theirs is #15 so we are evenly matched in that regard, but they have a way better defense since we are sitting in #32 and they are at #11. I think we can win but we must establish a heavy run game and be balanced PERIOD or I think we will lose.

We need our defense to perform at a #16 ranked defense this game with takeaways.

Well if you discount every team's best and worst games as annomallies, then both the saints and Falcons are tied for first place in all categories with every other team.

And that's how I see this game. Two very good and evenly matched teams. Keys being who can shut down the other team's passing weapons. Both teams being without an important piece of their running game. With our defense having a big health advantage.

Nothing about this week is going to look good in our favor. We opened up, at home, to 2 teams that were 5-27 last year and looked awful against them for the most part. While Atlanta has faced 2 playoff teams from last year including the SB champs and they've looked decent.

Only thing you can point to is health, as Atlanta is finally dealing with injuries and we are relatively healthy.

That being said, I don't think we are what weve been the past 2 weeks. This will be another one that comes down to some small mans foot.

Bonus: Clete Blakeman is in Detroit this week so we have that going for us. Walt Anderson is assigned to our game.
