Duncan betrayed the WhoDat Nation when the BountyGate saga started. It appeared that he wanted to make a name for himself with all of the stuffed shirt blowhards in the national sports media circuit. How'd that turn out?
Until Scooter makes a public, formal apology to the Saints (and fan base), I'll continue to find it difficult to listen to him OR read anything in any of his colums.
I think he's oblivious to the fact that his actions back then created DEEP wounds to the fan base. We're forgiving, as evidenced by how the fans warmed up to Tom Benson ...after he attempted to move the Saints to San Antonio post-Katrina. Yes, the fans are forgiving.
In Duncan's case, he needs to acknowledge what he did was wrong, and give many of us in the fan base an opportunity to put the cutlass back in the scabbard.
