SAINTS vs. FALCONS (2 Viewers)

I will be there also. I am flying in and hope I can convicne the folks I am staying with in Atlanta to swing by the lot on the way to the game, I want them to see Mike's bad --- bus and some other crazy SAINTS fans beside me!

excuse me but i have a question off subject. By Robert Meachem being a first round pick and not really getting real good playtime this year, Do you think he will have a chance to finally be a starter next year or will we move on and try to get a better name receiver and he just get in
where he can fit in at? Please give me opinions thanks!

I'm a Louisiana native who also relocated to Atlanta. I will be there. Let me know the details. I would love to tailgate with everyone!!!!

Also, let me know if I can bring anything. I'm thinking maybe some premade hurricanes or something. Let me know!!!

One more thing, is there a way to know who I'm looking for, will there be a saints report sign or something? I just don't want to intrude on some private party but I know most louisiana people are open and fun so it shouldn't be an issue. I had no problem fitting in with saints people i didn't know last year, afterall, we are all family. but I just thought I'd ask.

Here are all the details you need. We will be gathering in the blue bus lot which is located by the convention center. See the map on the first page of this post. I plan on getting there around 8:30 to 9:00 am. You can't miss the bus, just come up and say your from Saintsreport. My name is Mike and everyone is welcome. I will be serving jambalaya on a first come first serve basis. Cooking will start about 10:30. Everone should bring their own drinks/alcohol. IMPORTANT- if your not from Atlanta, be aware that no alcohol is sold in Atlanta on Sundays. If you plan on drinking alcohol, make sure you buy it Saturday. Also, beer is sold in food stores, but hard liquor is only sold at liquor stores. I know it sounds strange since here in New Orleans you can get any type of alcohol in any convenience store but the laws are different in other cities and states. See everyone in the blue lot early Sunday.

Good Info Mike. I will be bringing out some stuff as well, I am going to try to bring a table to put stuff on, and see if I can find a tent to borrow somewhere, I will have more info sometime tomorrow hopefully...

Is everyone from the Blue Lot going into the dome for the game, or will some of you tailgate the entire time?

SaintMike, what are your plans? Do you stay with the bus?

It's supposed to be a spectacular day. If others are sticking around outside, I'll ditch a scalped ticket and listen on radio with y'all.

Wouldn't the game be on local ATL tv? I mean, supposing someone brought a tv with them =)

Yatman,

Thanks for the info. My ATL contact was suggesting Hooters..but, is Taco Mac a better venue? Also, had Blind Willie's on the to do list. Do have a car (hertz) and neverlost navi. I'll say your name by the BUS and we can meet. of course, I'm Shrimpnose and will be wearing a white Brees Jersey (What else?)' . Called the equip office and were wearing white jerseys with bl pants, btw. Shrimp

Hooters has obvious visual appeal, but I don't think the food is as good and I know the beer selection isn't. More/better screens at TM.

Were I you, head down to Taco Mac at the SW corner of Virginia and Highland, sit outside to watch the game on a nice Saturday afternoon, then continue throughout the neighborhood. Highland Tap nearby used to serve Abita draft, but not sure if they still do.

Two blocks south is Willie's. More good pubs (Hand In Hand, Atkins Park, Limerick Junction) within crawling distance.
¡Cuidado! Sunday comes early... :all_coholic:

The new Metropolis Taco Mac is pretty awesome as well. It is on peachtree and has 100 or so 42' - 120' HD TVs. It's a sight to behold.

Good cheap food as well.

The Taco Mac in the highlands is the original though, and the bars in that area are great.

I have a tent and tables...but you can bring yours also. As far as going into the game...I will be going into the game and not leaving anything out. I would not drive all that way and spend $500.00 on fuel to just stay out in the parking lot. No offence, but I have to lock up the bus while we are inside the Georgia dome.

We will be coming to hang out with you Mike. Sounds like a lot of fun and I would like to meet some folks from SR. This is gonna be fun. :9: Should I bring anything besides alcohol Mike?

Well....that sucked.

I hate walking out of the GA dome after a Saints loss. Those falcon fans are sooooo obnoxious (spell?). You know, I can handle them cheering for their team, that's fine. But when one of them turns around, pats me on the knee, and says "It's going great for you guys, isn't it," I loose it. I told the guy to turn around, watch the game, and keep your blankety-blank smart-aleck comments to himself! He got bent out of shape like I hurt his feelings.

Anyway...my wife told me she's not coming to any games with me any more! She didn't really want to go anyway, so that's no big deal to me.

As I was leaving the upper deck, the "GO HOME SAINTS" chants raining down upon me...I was felt sick to my stomach. God, I HATE the falcons with a passion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
