Saints will beat the Chiefs in KC (4 Viewers)

Be nice. Going to have to stop Chris Jones running over top of the interior OL. And somehow control Mahomes. But it is doable.

It just seems like we’re physically/mentally/cosmically incapable of winning close games that come down to the buzzer with our current makeup. I think there’s a mental aspect that (if it wasn’t already affecting us prior to the last two games) will definitely be affecting us now. When you repeatedly blow it in those tight situations then everyone starts expecting you to blow it. A lot of fans have been in that mindset for a while now, and it’s hard for me to believe the players don’t also just expect it in some way. Maybe they get overly tight or wound up in those scenarios, which leads to the inevitable collapse. Kinda like a golfer on a bad run, you get in your head and overthink every aspect of your swing, eventually you get the yips and it feels like not even an act of god can fix it lol

The last 2 games have been close because the offense has been physically/mentally/cosmically incapable to score points, capitalize on turnovers, and not turn the ball over for pick-6s or muff punts in the endzone for TDs.

I agree. They've looked very mediocre in their last 8 games.

They also went 8-0 and won a Super Bowl in that same stretch. Sometimes it isn't about looking good and just understanding how to win games. The great teams know how to win on days they don't have their A game.
Exactly. They are as battle tested as they come. With that being said, they have to lose at some point. I could see us winning this game, but I can also see us losing this game. If we were to win, this would be the biggest win for the “Kendrick Lamar quoter”, and would be a huge confidence booster for our team.

If we get some guys back and have a little luck on our side for a change then I do think it’s possible.

Chiefs are worse than what anyone including analyst care to admit. Andy Reid coaching experience is difference maker and the big reason why a bad team won a SB last year. Only next decent coaches is Harbaugh and Shanahan and they lack any real QB that can stand up to Mahomes. Why Baltimore went and got Henry, if Lamar can't scramble then maybe Henry can run.

I believe we will have a good of a opportunity as anyone to Beat KC. KC rarely ever wins a game by more than 7.

Andy Reid is the best in the biz imo, but that defense was and is elite. Think they were the top dawgs on defense last season. So, not a bad team.

Andy has been the difference maker. Talent wise I don't think they really are great especially with benching Kelce, Hollywood and now Rice getting injured. Defense has a complex scheme under another decent coach, problem will be is both are more competent than Dennis.

I don’t disagree with ya, just saying that I’m pretty sure that defense was top of the league last season and maybe up there again this season? Haven’t checked stats on that for this year tho….

Saints are going to bounce back in a big way on Monday night. Write it down. And also get ready for a multiple game win streak. These boys are good. Dont lose faith. WHO DAT!!!
lol it doesn't sound crazy. Chiefs won't stay undefeated. Combine some very lucky breaks they have with very unlucky breaks we've had...and something has to give. But it is in KC...and they do have Mahomes so....

Do you all remember when Coach Payton and half of our staff had COVID and DA had to fill in for him on MNF? I Believe that it was Brady and the Bucs in TB. DA somehow got the team fired up and we shut the Bucs out. I remember DA bad b*itch strutting on the sideline.

This game could play out similarly...but and this is a huge if. I could be on board with a Saints win if I knew that Kamara, Hill, Demario, Carr, Gay, Taylor and Honeybadger could play. Throw in Ruiz and I'd bet that we win.

Now add AT Perry, Holker and Miller to the mix, by replacing Yale, Johnson and Williams, we got a blowout. Yep you heard it here. This is fantasy land and half of those injured players probably not won't play and Perry and Holker will be inactive.

I'm not sure how anyone could predict anything with this many unknowns going into Monday.
