Saunders/Hill Combo Nickname (1 Viewer)

Philly has the Tush Push, but I think our Saunders/Hill combo is pretty hard to stop and actually better play design.

What nickname do you want to call it? I'm drawing blanks, but would love a catchy name for the play since it seems to be doing pretty darn well. We should also use it every time we need a gain 3-4 yards. I love the design. Finally got something working on the offense that works!

How about truck and tuck?

Heavy Payload
The Heavy Payload Package. I dig it. Has a nice ring to it. Whatever we end up calling it all I know for sure is that I need more of it. The NFL is weird sometimes about running something that works over and over. You'll see teams run a play where the defense obviously has no answer for but they don't come back to it. In college they'll run the same play until the defense shows they can stop it. That's what I want the Saints to do. Run the Heavy Payload Package until teams show they can stop it. And throw in a wrinkle to it. Jump pass or something.

And I just wanted to say one thing about Pete Carmichael. The man has taken so much heat for his lack of creativity and predictable play calling. But when it comes to Taysom Hill, he's been doing some really cool stuff. It was obvious early on that this was going to be a Taysom Hill game and Pete called some great plays for him. But I wonder what determines whether or not a game is going to be a Taysom game? Some weeks it seems like they spent a lot of time and focus on getting him the ball. Other weeks it's like they forget they have him.

Every week should be a Taysom week. Bully ball should be part of our identity

The "Bink" package expanded this past week against the Bears when K.S. crossed the field in motion and went out for a pass. Taysom 1st looked his way only to find him covered. The Bears were ready for the pass to go to Saunders but Taysom went through his progressions to find Juwan Johnson crossing the field in the back of the endzone wide open for the Touchdown.

So though Saunders may have been Hills 1st đź“š read, the "Bink" package was effective after all.
