I recently bought a Savage 110 Tactical chambered in 308. I cleaned the bolt upon unboxing and used Frog Lube. I took it to the range and I used PMC 168 grain X Tac. Upon firing I was unable to work the bolt to the rear to eject the empty case. I ejected the magazine and after about 30 seconds I was able to work the bolt and eject the empty case. I ran into this issue the entire time (I fired 20 shots). Has anyone ran into this issue and if so, how did you resolve it. Thanks in advance.

Could there be debris in the chamber? I found that with a friends Aero Precision 762. Three was a chunk of brass in there from a previously extracted cartridge. I had to remove the barrel to get every piece of the old case out.

Could the headspace be that far off?
Does the bolt face look o.k.?
Is the extractor o.k.?
What does the extracted case look like?

It was brand new. I removed the bolt and lubricated it (P Diddy style) prior to firing. Everything looked ok to me. I checked the chamber and I couldn't find anything. I finally took it back to the store and their armorer is going to look at it. If any work needs to be done, they will send it back to Savage.

I'm guessing it's not seating properly causing the brass to bulge slightly when fired.

I called Savage and they have already sent the firearm back to the FFL. Ill let y'all know when I find out.

Following up:

According to Savage they smoothed out the barrel replaced the extractor and replaced some "misc small parts". It works fine now.
