Well because unless something unusual happens, then something rather usual should happen, and a source should come forward and let us know that something has happened. A source with reliable information could verify whether or not something usual or unusual did in fact happen, and then this source could be either reliable or unreliable. It would be unusual for an unreliable source to come forward with any unusual information that is not usually verified. It usually doesn't happen that way, unless the source is unusual. Sources usually will present some source of information, and usually do so, unless of course, it is unusual. Then I would expect something unusual to happen, and usually a source would let us know.
