Question Seems like only about half the saints fans are posting , my perception bad? (1 Viewer)

We are 1 1/2 seasons into mediocrity. 2019 and 2020 were both 12+ wins and 2021 at 9-8 and nearly making the playoffs was a phenomenal feat considering the massive amount injuries we went through. Only once Payton left did we turn into whatever you call this team right now.
fair enough. But many people have the sense that we’ve been on a decline since that 9-8 season. I was one of the sunshine pumpers that chose to look at thepositives, even last season. This year, for me, has been a turning point. I gave DA the benefit of the doubt last season due to injuries. But this year has been more of the same inconsistency.

I've become more of a viewer of the site than in years past. I still post and respond, just not as much as before. It's pointless. Why even waste the energy discussing all the possibilities when I've come to realize there's only one reality for this team as long as DA is in charge.

Not real sure. I’ll always post here because I love the Saints and I enjoy the posters here. Even when we disagree, different points of views are opportunities to think outside the box. I like that and will always enjoy SR

I think they actually thought Carr was good and they don't want to admit we're screwed now.

It’s not as bad as the Iron Era. Lol
Yet.

Losing one of the top 5 guys to ever play QB then the following year to lose a hall of fame coach…..a big fall pretty much had to happen.

I’m hoping we strike gold again with our next head coach and hoping we strike gold with a top end QB in the draft. I’ll be very sad if we don’t even attempt to hire new blood and don’t attempt to draft a QB high.

I stopped posting as much because I realized I was posting only negative things about the staff and certain players. I found myself getting upset to the point I would counter positive post with pessimistic responses. I had to step back and accept that I can't change the situation no matter how much I rant. Now I just browse and show up in the gameday threads to be in that number.

OFC, not only are people alienated and hopeless under this regime -- but they actively hate the fact that there is ZERO indication of a change coming.

It's hard to stay engaged if your anger will always be rewarded with Mickey or Dennis just blowing more sunshine about "right people in the building", "doing a lot of things right", "trending in right direction", "the players didn't execute" etc. when the issues with the offense (playcalling, Carr, offensive line) and defense (mobile QBs, aging D-line) are incontrovertibly obvious to literally everyone yet nothing meaningful has been done besides making excuses.
