Seems like this guy gets a pass (1 Viewer)

Loomis is the person ultimately and primarily responsible for the current state of the franchise. He increasingly is receiving the criticism he deserves, especially on this forum. Because of his relationship with the owner, his job seems secure.

It’s clear he messed up big hiring DA. He could fire him Monday under the guise of making the team better by subtraction and have full support of the fanbase. In reality, firing the HC in season rarely actually makes the team better, but it likely would help get a higher draft pick which makes the job more attractive in January.

That he’s friends with the people that he is supposed to hold accountable is the biggest problem and why has hasn’t fixed this mistake.

Do we actually know they are friends? Friends and familiar are different.

They've been working together on and off for 17 years. I'd say that is far more than just familiar, especially when Loomis has the ability to sever the relationship whenever he chooses. Instead he chose to bring him back after his stint in Denver and Oakland and keep him on after Payton left. That indicates that they at the very least have a very friendly working relationship, but I suppose it doesn't mean they go bowling together on Tuesday night during the off season.

If Mrs. Benson wants a championship, she's gonna do the hard thing and dismiss PC and DA. Reassign ML and promote Ireland and Hartly.
for her to make a bold move replacing ML , it would indicate that shes getting high quality NFL information from sources outside of the Saints. I bet if you checked her cell phone contacts, there wouldnt be a single NFL contact outside of the Saints. So ML is here to stay. Its up to ML to do his job if a change is warranted

I think Mickey is a good GM. He gave a good DC a chance. I think they were kinda stuck in the Payton situation. I think Mickey will right the wrongs soon.
Agree with this overall.

I don’t have a problem with the cap management at all. Unfortunately, the team put the keys of the franchise in DA and Carr’s hands. The DA mistake would be a quick and easy fix if they hadn’t also put so much $ into getting Carr.

I do think ML and this front office deserve one more chance to hit on a QB and make things right.

If only hiring and retaining DA and Pete were his only failures...

He's made one bad decision after another ever since Sean departed.
