It's not that anyone thinks he's going to be AK! Kamara is still likely facing a suspension and Miller is not practicing. On paper, the Saints don't have a RB rotation for game 1 at the moment. They have just 1 quality RB that would likely be playing if the season started today. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Yes, AK, Williams, and Miller is a good rotation if they are all healthy and playing. Right now, the Saints should be thinking about other options just as precautions.

Hopefully Kendre Miller will be ready to go for the opener. The Saints have a timeframe for him and they must feel confident about it. Surely they aren't going to head into the season with Jamaal Williams, Eno Benjamin, and Ellis Merriweather. Right?

From the Saints perspective they probably aren't eager to use more resources on the RB position after bringing in a free agent and using a 3rd round draft pick on one. But if Miller isn't ready to go to start the season they might not have a choice.

When will AK be suspended? For how long will he be suspended? How long before Miller is practicing? Will Miller be ready for game 1?

Here's the difference. On a Saints forum to discuss the Saints, you're asking questions that have known answers. I'm talking about questions that haven't been answered.

Absolutely. I think that's the hope. As fans, we're really in the dark to AK's situation and Miller's. The team might very well know the answer to questions surrounding both. Their actions over the coming weeks will definitely tell us. I was just pointing out that it's not odd for fans to speculate about the available FA RBs given what we don't know. As you put it, the Saints might not have a choice. It's a valid topic given that.

Oh there's no doubt. If we're talking about heading into the season with the one-two punch of Jamaal Williams and Eno Benjamin then you better believe it's valid topic. Nothing against Williams or Benjamin but that just isn't an ideal situation. Not for any length of time anyway.

No need to panic on July 18! Everyone knew Miller was coming off of an injury and they would take it cautiously when needed. The whole team does not even report until next week. Let's wait at least until the team starts practicing as a team in a little over a week to see how things shake out. Most of these are likely procedural moves.

There is no note of panic in my post. Talking about player scenarios is not panicking. Freaking out because someone poses a what if scenario for the depth chart though, that's some serious anxiety issues. Calm down, guy.
