With that being known now, do you think the Saints will meet with him? I think it could be a possibility we draft him depending what Kellen Moore wants to do, but long term, does Rattler have enough to be the future QB of the Saints? I know Rattler seems to have some raw talent, but I think Sanders would be a better fit for us. Maybe if Sanders was the route or Jeanty, I wouldn't be too disappointed.

We will probably lose both Carr and Hill so I think either QB or RB has to be top of the list for our first pick. I would not want to trade up for Sanders, but if he or Jeanty is there, it has to be the pick for us right?

Everything depends on what happens before the draft. What changes are made to get down to cap compliant. Who, if anyone, is released before free agency. Who, if anyone, is brought in during free agency. There are just so many things we don't know yet. Could they take a QB at 9? I think it depends on who was there and what their grade on the player is. I'd hope they won't draft a RB at 9 with so many holes elsewhere.

He needs to grow a pair and quit letting Pimetime run his life

Most of the top QBs every year don't work out at the Combine. Some don't even work out at their pro day. All it can do is show things to get nitpicked and hurt your draft position.

Lower rated guys do it in hopes of impressing teams and moving up.

I'm not a huge fan of Sanders game since I think he holds onto the ball too long and doesn't have a great arm or pocket awareness but he's either the #1 or #2 QB in this class so not much point for him to work out at the Combine.

Plus, much like the Mannings, the Sanders family is likely to refuse to let him play for some teams so he's essentially going to choose where he plays anyway.

Not surprised at all. It won't hurt his stock.

If an invitee refuses to work out after he passes the league physical then he should be sent home. No interviews or any other combine activity should allowed. He simply has wasted his time and the leagues time.

It's pretty standard; a lot of the top guys are choosing to work at their pro-day instead of the combine.

Why? Several guys did this last year. The medical exam and interviews are the only substantive part.

I really don't get the hype with this dude. If his last name wasn't Sanders, he would not even be considered a first-round pick let alone top 2 pick IMO.
Jaxson Dart has a very good opportunity to further showcase what he can do while at the combine. He will jump into the top 10 if he has a successful time there.

The combine is about the interviews and the medicals. Teams have so much data available now on the physical stuff, the workouts have become a bit superfluous. Some head coaches are skipping it now. But...the NFL has realized that it's a cash cow and keeps them front and center in the off-season.

There isn’t anything that says they have to participate in everything to be there. In some cases the combine benefits the player and other times it benefits the teams. There is no benefit to him to do the drills as a top 5 prospect. If teams don’t want to talk to him they don’t have to.

Besides, a huge part of this whole thing is to drive TV ratings.
