Kirkwood had two catch-able balls against the Browns one hit him in the head. Did he just have a bad day, or should the team look elsewhere for another Receiver?

Right now there are 4 players that deserve the ball.He doesn’t look like a pro, does he. My issue is why were we throwing to him in a critical 3rd down situation late in the game to try to close it out? Shades of doing the same thing with Kevin White a few weeks ago. We keep utilizing low % players in critical situations. Meanwhile, DA wonders out loud how to get our two best offensive skill players, AK and Taysom, the ball more.
Yeah, but….defenses know that also.Right now there are 4 players that deserve the ball.
AK
Tayson
Shaheed
Juwan
Lesser extent Trautman dump offs
Have the others run routes to decoy the D, but 98% must go the this 4/5.
A pass to Kirkwood, Callaway, White, TQS….is a wasted play.
Yes, I put the blame on the coaching staff for deciding we should throw a deep ball into the wind in terrible weather conditions to a practice squad WR who failed to come down with a contested ball in a similar situation earlier in the game in a huge moment. He doesn’t look like a pro, does he. That's the key point to me. Regardless of whether a pro should be able to come down with those balls (I personally think, yes) those were some primetime throws by Dalton in tough conditions. His Stateline won't show it, but he really threw some gems.First ball he caught and Just didn’t have time to bring back into his body. It was a good play by defender. Contested catch
Second ball looks like the wind knocked it down.
Yes both catchable balls but not easy ones. It’s only up from here for kirkwood.
Amazing throws by Dalton btw
It does get tracked, but the advanced stats for Christmas weekend games are a few days off. He’s at a 73% on target rate YTD, excluding the Browns game. That's the key point to me. Yup. Kinda like the throw to Taysom on 3rd and 17 in Tampa. That's the key point to me. Yeah, but in something like the NFCCG, while I personally would not have drawn up a play for TommyLee Lewis (who I never cared for much) for the biggest play of the game...at the end of the day, it was a good call b/c TLL ended up open to the point where the only thing the Rams could do was commit blatant DPI to stop it and pray the refs commit one of the biggest reffing blunders in NFL history.I have said this before, but it’s like Pete Carmichael has developed SP’s “Do what they least expect” trait, only problem is that it seems like he calls most of the game that way and he’s not very good at picking his spots, at all…like “worst ever doing it, maybe works 5% of the time” bad.
