Should we rest starters ? (1 Viewer)

I’m sorry but am I missing something here?
The Niners/Seahawks don’t play until Sunday night so why in the world do you rest your starters and risk losing? You lose against the Panthers you have no chance at a bye.

We can lose @ Carolina and still have the 2. it ALL depends on Sf @ Sea. Also think about 6 see Minnesota resting starters this week because they cannot improve seeding at this point, so they are on a "bye" . Yet we could go into that game battered.

and of course the vikings can rest their starters and get cook back for wildcard game
This right here. Imagine how crappy this would be .... they are going to rest this week as they cannot improve seed. Don't get me wrong I think we will roll Carolina, but what if all of a sudden we are on 6 days rest? We need Seattle to win that's literally all that matters. GB is not losing to Det , but I will happily dip my crow in hot sauce if they do

A bye is huge, we need it. Our outcome likely wont matter and that's my point, it all rides on Seattle beating SF. Lets say for conversations sake that we get into a war with Carolina and end up winning a physical bruising game in the 4th quarter and SF beats Sea, then we are playing on 6 days rest anyways...

Yeah I see what you're saying. It's a gamble either way. There are 16 games in a season. Gotta play 'em all sometimes.

Is this a joke post? I think a first round bye is enough motivation.

I hope Seattle will have sufficient motivation to win Sunday night after the outcome of the early games. I’m not sure how much better the #3 seed is than the #5, especially when the 5 most likely gets you Philly. Seattle might prefer to rest some of their key starters since a bye likely will not be on the line for them. The NFL did us no favors flexing that game to SNF.

I would play them but scoreboard watch. If GB goes up >16, I'd pull my guys. I don't think GB will clobber Detroit. I think they'll win by 10 or so. The Lions have played pretty well on offense, even without Stafford.

Saints and GB will be 13-3 with a win Sunday at noon.

Seattle would be 12-4 with win.

Seattle will be playing for the #3 seed assuming Saints and Packers win at noon.

You don’t get a bye with the #3 seed.
