So Direct TV calls me Sunday afternoon (1 Viewer)

We were walking out the door, and the wife answers the phone and it's directtv. Our 2 year commitment is up in February - thats the only thing I can think of that explains this..

the wife is like "yeah... yeah.... ok, we'll do it." Im thinking ***? They gave us HBO, STARZ, Showtime AND SUNDAY TICKET for $2 per month, for the next six months.

Im thinking there's something screwed up, I check the bill and sure enough under recent orders it says "NFL SUNDAY TICKET PROMO.................. $0"

I still wish the Saints would have won, but this wasnt a bad consolation prize. I have no idea how to tell you all how to get it or what the promo is.

I got the same deal last week :9:

I got the same call right before the last preseason game. I thought to myself there must be a catch. but we checked the bill also and im not getting charged for NFL Sunday Ticket either. Sure beats paying full price for the Sunday Ticket.

And you will never have suday ticket either.

Can't watch Sunday ticket at the dome, and on away games, Buffalo Wild Wings shows everything Sunday Ticket does for free, plus I can buy all the wings I want.

I have absolutely no use for Sunday Ticket.

Directv is the biggest scumbags out there,I have been a customer since 1997, I have allways paid on time. Last week I tried to upgrade to HD DVR service, They were gonna charge me $419 for two recievers, when new customers can get them free thru lease and commitment. So for loyal long term costomers who have allways paid there bill, they get the shaft. I did find out that they will allow you to suspend your service for up to 6 months, that way when football season rolls around you can order the cheapest plan of $29 a month and NFL Sunday Ticket. So it will come out around $423 a year. Then after the season just suspend your service again. I have standard DVR service with Stars and NFLST and my bill is never less than $120 a month. Comcast has the same package with HD DVR and broadband for $99 per month. I believe after this season im going with Comcast for TV, and just use Directv for NFLST. I hate being held hostage by Directv just so I can see my Saints.

They gave me a similar screwing after years of being a loyal customer. Decided to tell them where to stuff there service. I can go to a sports bar for the six or so games I can't catch. Cheaper than season ticket

I got my HD DVR for free a couple years ago, and I wasn't a new subscriber. Just keep calling back until you get a good deal. Every time, you get a different person, and they usually have different prices. It's weird, but that's how it is.

Just got Starz and Showtime free for 6 months, HD free for life, DVR service free for 24 months, 120.00 credit on my next bill, and a free HD DVR installed tomorrow.

I already have Sunday Ticket discounted to 179 I think, maybe 149. Directv has always worked with me. They will always have my business. It seems like everytime I call I can get free stuff from them. I wanted a new HD DVR a couple of years ago and I managed to get them to give it to me for free. I get Sunday ticket discounted every year with no problems.

Stick with them and make a call and they should work with you.

We are over one month into the season. I just called DTV and asked if there were any deals on the Sunday NFL ticket. Price, 5 "easy" payments of $63.99. Doesn't that work out to roughly $320.00? That's no deal. Thats full price and it's even higher than last year's. No thanks.
