He's too good to not get minutes.

His shooting was off, but he 6 rebs, 5 assist, and 2 stls. He just be pilling up stats all over the court.

Need to find 70 minutes those 3.

Dyson and Matt Ryan averaging 52 minutes a game together. Kira is another 12 minutes. Zeller got 3 minutes. Hawkins played 35 minutes.

It's a good problem to have, but I like to see Hawkins get a good 15 minutes a game with everyone healthy.

I still think you make TM3 a starter (He's an inevitable All-Star)... Make Herb your 6th man.... Find a true stretch 5 to start along side of Zion and possibly trade JV and Kira and Zeller when Jose, Naji, and TM3 returns.... The rest will figure itself out when you can mix and match shooters minutes around Zion, BI, and CJ... and run a 2nd unit that features defense and shooting.

I'd also add one more true scorer/shooter/wing combo guy if at all possible... we can't ever start 1-21 from 3 again.... you just don't win those in the NBA... we were stupid lucky last night.

I think, at least until we lose someone to injury, that Ryan will lose the minutes in favor of Hawkins.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when GTA comes back. True PG with very good defensive skills. How he plays will tell who gets the minutes, but if he comes back solid, Dyson may be the loser there.

I don't see Herb coming off the bench. An elite defender like he has become needs to be on the floor with the other team's best player. Those guys usually start. Plus Herb has found a 3 pt. shot this year. He didn't show it last nite, but its been there in prior games this season.

TM3 has to be your 6th man with this current lineup until he gets good enough to sit CJM.

Finding minutes for all these young players is a good thing to have but we're eventually going to lose someone because of our glut of talent. I'd hate lose anyone, but it just about has to happen over the next couple of years.

Love Herb... but he's 33% from 3 for his career (and 33% this year also)... and gets less than 10 points a game. You can use him to get big minutes in defensive sets when you have true shooters around him... but with BI, Z, and JV on the floor... Your only real shooter is CJ.... and he's either flame thrower or ice cold in stretches. TM3 fits much better with the current other 4 starters... He's athletics and long, can defend well enough, great in transition, doesn't take up Z's air space, can shoot 40% from 3, and get you 15+ points a game easily... It's only a matter of time before he's a starter/all star somewhere.... I'd like it to be here. Once we get a massive lead, we can sprinkle Herbs' defense in.

I think the only reason TM3 hasn't been locked in with the starters already is because the bench rotations desperately needed his scoring... Hawk and Ryan can change that.

Herb is a legit all-NBA defender that can handle the ball. Draymond has never shot the ball well and he's going to be a HOF player.

Herb will remain a starter. Trey is perfect to bring off the bench and start when Zion/BI go on their annual in-season vacations.

I think Hawkins will continue to get minutes even when Trey, Jose, and Naji come back. Coach Willie likes him a lot. Dyson might get some DNPs.

Great problem to have for an 82-83 game season.

Draymond is surrounded by shooters... so that's sort of my point.

I agree that Herb needs to be out there to start but if/when the team is healthy, I think you will see BI or Zion get pulled much earlier in the game.

Last night, the only players that got more than 30 minutes were Hawkins (33), Herb (31), and BI (36). Obviously a part of that was due to us pulling guys early with the blowout, but if the reserves play like we think they can, some of their minutes will come from starters not HAVING to be on the court as much

A good coach will find the best rotations and keep everyone fresh, and Hawkins has to be included in that mix. That kid plays hard, draws the defense out to the 3 pt line, and plays good solid defense.

He is the #2 rookie so far. Just wow.

I am hoping some of these minutes will come from not having to play BI, Zion, and CJ as many minutes.

trig off
Being an undersized guard that can't shot is death sentence
I'm not sure what he does exactly, he can't contain dribble penetration, he can't create off the dribble and cause rotations. His shooting is completely absent. What is he doing during his minutes except getting a cardio workout?

You can't have Herb and Dyson on the court at the same time. Neither is a good shooter. You need to have one of Hawkins or Murphy on the floor with them or the offense will stall unless its fast break points.

He's not. People think the Warriors are a team with a plethora of shooters. It's Steph and Klay. That's it. If one of them them gets hurt for an extended time they aren't going to sit Draymond to find another shooter. CJ and BI are more than enough shooting and scoring to have on the floor with Herb.

Herb is a starter in this league. His defensive impact is just too much. Plus his own scoring ability is underrated.

As for Hawkins, coach Willie loves that guy. He'll get his minutes this year even with a fully healthy roster.
