You can't have Herb and Dyson on the court at the same time. Neither is a good shooter. You need to have one of Hawkins or Murphy on the floor with them or the offense will stall unless its fast break points.

Actually we did pretty well with Herb and Dyson on the floor simultaneously. Sure we sacrifice some 3pt shooting but their defense creates easy fast break points while at the same time limiting the other teams offense.
Furthermore, Dyson and Herb move well without the ball on offense and they (especially Herb) are smart enough to disrupt and screen on offense.

Willie is a defensive minded coach and it isn't like we are lacking for shooters especially with Herb Jones coming on strong. Now that we are pretty much healthy, whose minutes would he take?

Minutes are for coaches to decide. And in a league dominated by the 3pt shot, good coaches figure out how to get their best shooters on the court. This is a big fail on Willie’s part IMO.

I like Hawkins a lot but there are only so many minutes to go around. You can't insist on playing a guy without figuring out whose minutes he would take away from and how it would improve the team over that/those player/players.

If Hawkins plays meaningful minutes, that removes playing time from our other guards. You can't have it any other way. Which ones would he be an improvement over?
