Some noteworthy Saints statistics (2 Viewers)

Nice thread. Hope it continues. What I will say the Saints front 4 have been getting hosed. How does Atlanta have 1 penalty when I swear on everything I seen multiple holding calls missed on Atlanta O-Line. It happens A LOT. Been like this in multiple games.

Hill has 9 fumbles on the season, 3rd most in the NFL. It's been discussed a lot, I think we all agree he must clean this up. He almost gave the game away on that fumble out of bounds. High and tight!
I have been thinking about this for weeks and I noticed something yesterday, and formed a (more than likely really stupid) theory on this.

I noticed it when Taysom hit the sideline on his 43 yd run. He was running straight up with little to no lean forward, and it looked like he actually had the ball high and tight and positioned in the right spot, but something just looked kind of off with it. His arm looked clenched, but the ball still did not look secure in his arm.

So I got to wondering about his height, and therefore his wingspan. Obviously, there are plenty of players who touch the ball in the NFL who are shorter than Taysom and don't appear to have the fumblies like he does. So I'm not saying it's a direct height/wingspan thing, but I have actually been wondering if both of those things coupled with the fact that his arms are huge lead to a lack of (not sure if this is the right term) flexibility(?) Like his arms are fairly short, then adding his bicep on top of that, he's unable to securely cradle the ball or something?

I realize this may be the dumbest thing ever posted on SR (well- besides some Swimmer threads). So flame away. Just genuinely curious if there's some sports folks here who have ever seen something like this before.

I found it cool yesterday when Cook had a crucial drive killing drop and Taysom went back to him for the TD on the very next possession. I thought what a Drew thing to do. Drew will almost always go back to a guy he believes in right after a drop. It was almost like its a Sean thing or as if Drew had told him that between the drives.

I’ve been thinking about it too, and this is the first year he’s had a fumble problem. When he came in in spot duty in previous years, I don’t recall a single fumble. Its not because he’s getting more touches because it started early when he was only getting spot duty. What’s different this year?

I'll add
  1. We haven't allowed a 300 yard passer all season. (Steelers too)
  2. Only team to have scored at least 3 TD's in each game.
IM SO MAD THE FOOTBALL TEAM HAD 296 YARDS TODAY!!!

At least the steelers got exposed like the frauds that they are. One and done. They'll lose another game and drop 1st seed to Chiefs.
