This may get all kinds of comments, but here goes anyway. This may also seem to be common sense, but when I played sports none of this was ever talked about. I am copying an excerpt from the Human Kinetics Journal to serve as a preface for discussion. Since the Saints seem to have had more than their share of injuries this year and in past years, this may be relevant. "Maintaining an appropriate dietary intake is important for maintaining fitness and health and/or in regaining fitness after injury in athletes. Conversely, inadequacies in dietary intake have a negative effect on physical performance, which might, in turn, contribute to an increased risk of injury. This is as likely to be the case for the bone as it is for other tissues of importance to the athlete, like muscles, tendons, and ligaments."

I believe this is a legitimate concern, I also believe that the litany of injuries last year was just bad Juju, working in our favor so we could move on from Allen.

Everything bad that happens to you isn’t for your demise and everything good that happens to you isn’t for your benefit

Allen's poor culture and lack of mandatory stretching and warming up probably had the greatest impact on all our injuries IMHO.

I just looked back at the injuries over the course of the year. Not saying dietary fitness and all that isn't important, but a lot of our injuries were concussions, blown out knees from hits, and ankles. Kamara did have a groin, but went out with it later in that game. I just don't see how nutrition would effect concussions and blows to the knees. Carrs broken hand. Some injuries just can't be prevented. Just bad luck.

However, many of the injuries were soft tissue injuries that lingered. CGM for instance.
