Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (5 Viewers)

Menacing masked space pirate chokes captain of a boarded ship:
"If this is a Bulk Freighter, why is your vault magnetically sealed?"

Y'all are gonna love ep 2...

We watched E1 on Tuesday and I'm interested but thought it was a little bit "kiddie". My hope (which I think will happen based on the trailer) is that most of that stuff was story foundation but now that we've taken off in the starship, things will pick up.

My 11 year old said "Yeah, sure - press one green button and the whole thing just takes off and goes to hyperspace."

I then explained to her (again) about the value in suspension of disbelief.

That reveal at the end felt kinda like when Hopper joined the kids in Stranger Things
Heā€™ll provide good balance

Finally got around to watching this and thought it was great.

That the kids come from At Attin - known in the galaxy as the legendary lost planet of eternal treasure and that the kid's lunch money were actual Old Republican credits which really got the pirates excited. Such a good storyline to begin the series with.

I have a feeling that Jude Law's character was the captain at the beginning so he may not have the best of intentions the kids think he has

A highly enjoyable beginning.

My 10 yr old offered an idea that I quite enjoyed
He said the ā€˜barrierā€™ was put in place to hide kids away from most of the galaxy
I think he might be right

We watched E2 and agree that the story has gotten really interesting. And I completely agree about your second statement. I whispered that to my wife.

ā€œmy daughter said ā€˜if he has the force why has he just been staying in that jail?ā€™ I asked ā€˜well, heā€™s there by himself, even with the force do you think he could escape?ā€™ She said probably not - I said heā€™s been waiting for his chance and then these four kids with a spaceship arrive in his cell. She smiled with satisfaction.

I saw that E3 was to be released today but it wasn't on there
