Start date set for third round of Dome renovations

Officials have set a start date for a third phase of renovations to the Superdome, as work continues to substantially upgrade the 32 year old building.

Bids to install new exterior escalators, giant windows for the club lounges, and replacement of the building's siding are due in two weeks.

"If things go well, we'll begin construction on May 1st," said Doug Thornton, the Vice President of Superdome operator SMG.

I just watched that. It was awesome, i'm not old enough to remember the beach, but it seems that it was really nice place to be. Those times were different, everything seemed pure.
