Lions were always the better team. When Goff threw 5 interceptions, completed 50% of his passes and still won, I knew right then and there that the NFC went through them..

Three things -

1). I still don't want Aaron Glenn as Saints HC, but he's doing a great job tonight exposing Minnesota. We'll see how that D performs in the playoffs. I'll eat some crow tonight though.

2). This was a disappointment with Flores' defense. I thought they'd be much tougher for the Lions offense, but wow, what a letdown. Still not sure how to feel about him as a HC candidate, but he should definitely get consideration.

3). Gibbs is proving that a talented and explosive running back is essential. The Saints can't go into next season with an aging Kamara and an oft-injured Miller. Like several other areas, the RBs need an infusion of young talent.

Yep, but that injured defense has been horrendous.

This is typical Vikings for as long as I have watched football, paper Tigers.

Some one in a thread said that have been consistently good. Yes, this true but in the past 30 plus years I have watched football they have never been great.

They have never had a true franchise qb, the closest would be cousins. But he is far from great.

Yes , coaching matters. BUT when you have 19 top 100 draft picks over the last 5 yrs not only are you able to get great starters but quality depth. Add to that the luxury that cheap rookie contracts afford you in cap space, You CANNOT compare the Lions to ANY other team. That said they have drafted well to boot
