While I totally agree with everything you said… I’m still glad they are done tonight. It was time for the Chiefs domination to end. And I’m sure this same sentiment is being felt by the vast majority of NFL fans around the country.Very few teams have been able to achieve what they have and in the NFL's modern era, come this close to a 3-peat SB and yet these same Chiefs have come closer to realizing this then 70's Steelers, 80's 49ers, 90's Cowboys, and 2000-2010's Brady-led Patriots. They shouldn't be mocked or ridiculed for trying to reach those absolute heights and I get it, many Americans and NFL fans are a bit fed up with the Mahomes-Kelce-Taylor Swift "Days of our Lives" meandering soap opera the MSM and sports outlets have force-fed us the past 2-3 years, but still the fact that Kansas City has made it to 5 SB's in the past 7 years is a feat that 10-15 years ago amidst the game endless, annoying Belichick/Brady Pats Dynasty era, I never believed another team, much less a second-tier, Midwestern/Plains-esque American city with a proud, devoted storied sports history but nothing really comparable to huge, metropolitan cities like Boston, NYC, Philly, L.A. or even Chicago-based sports teams.
Parity is what helps keep this league interesting.
