Superdome PA system (2 Viewers)

It was much louder than normal and whenever there was a high pitched sound, like in the commercials they play or music, it was terrible. In the past it's been hard to understand things said so maybe they were trying to remedy that, but they need to turn it down (I sound like an old lady but it's true!)

Please tell someone DO NOT play that "Happy". That is the worst song to play during the most tense and stressful moment. I don't know about you but for me it has to be the most irritable song I heard so far

The volume at times was absolutely ridiculous. Music would blast out of nowhere so loudly people were jumping out of their seats. And forget about having a conversation between plays and during timeouts. Whatever idiot is in charge of this is going to realize soon that the vast majority of ticket paying customers is over 30 and is going to a football game slash social event, not a blackout night at Ampersand.

here's the problem - the volume level depends HUGELY on where you sit. It's excruciatingly high for me as well (in the lower terrace)... but I've watched several games from other locations - particularly the plaza - and it's virtually inaudible (and what is audible is muddled).

The audio was terrible. I couldn't make out what the ref was calling when he would call a penalty(and God knows there were enough of those). It just sounded really muffled.

And my biggest pet peeve is the video board. Please, for the love of God, can we join the 21st century with our video board? After seeing the ones in Dallas and Houston, ours really looks bad. We spent a ton of money refurbishing the Dome and it all looks great....except that video board. I went to Wrestlemania back in April and there was a video screen suspended from the ceiling that was great. I read that that screen was the WWE's screen but why can't we get something like that. It doesn't have to be as big as Dallas or Houston's, but we need a better board for sure.

They should be playing this Iggy song ....she is clearly a Saints fan

I think a couple years back there was someone on here offering to do the work for free. Specialized in this kind of stuff, I forget who it was. But back then I think some news came out that they were supposedly getting a new sound system or something. But seems like not much has changed.

When they re-wire the sound system, make sure we get some wires connecting the opponents headsets to our coaching boxes :ezbill:

That's what I was about to come in and say, I'm pretty sure they have BOSE since Katrina and that's the problem.

I'm sure FEMA money was involved so that explains everything.

Actually I'm pretty sure Bose made them a ridiculous offer so they could market that the Superdome has the new, great Bose piece of crap system. I work in this industry - Bose stole a job from me recently by giving product to a client. They were going to buy a JBL rig thru us and they got some free crap from Bose - just like the Superdome did. Oh well, theirs will probably suck too. lol

They don't even have the speakers positioned right which gives that echo effect. The speakers themselves look like they are from the early 1980's. The music selection is horrible. The video board is horrible.

I was thinking this is much more of a nuisance during the preseason. Can't really hear that junk when over 72,000 rabid fans are penetrating your eardrums.

Check out the video board at the new Tulane stadium.
