Saints and DA aside, the system is messed up. No incentive in the world for Carolina to try to beat anybody. Plenty of incentive to tank. The draft should be tweaked to provide a reason to play hard.

I never thought we weren't. It's probably coming down to the last week if we don't lose to TB. One of the Vikings/Packers is losing this week unless a tie.
 
I think I remember someone telling me we were still competing for a division tittle and Championship a couple weeks ago. So now we are mathematically still alive...ok. Seriously though, this season is done it was a while back I think we have seen enough of Dennis Allen to realize this is who he is and that is 2 things not a head coach and not a winner.

It's time to cut bait and if the front office can't see it then it is going to another painful season next year. I have a feeling we will see Allen back next year for some odd reason it just seems like 3 years is what they will tolerate.
 
When have other results ever favoured us? We went 13-3 and got the 3rd seed on a 3-way tie a few years back. We were a Rams collapse from the playoffs in Sean’s last season here (in the year they won the Super Bowl, no less). We aren’t making the playoffs, the most important thing right now is getting rid of Dennis Allen.

I can see a scenario that we've seen MANY times before as Saints fans. We get to the last week needing a win and a loss by another team. Bucs/Panthers game ends before ours with a miracle win by Carolina putting the Saints' playoff destiny in our own hands. Saints lead by 1 or 2. They let Atlanta get into a long FG attempt by playing a Prevent defense. Koo nails a 60 yarder as time expires.
 
This is whats gonna happen.. we are gonna win against bucs.. and everything will line up.. perfectly for us.. then on the last play of the game.. Falcons will score a 90 yard touchdown after fumbling it 8 times on the play and scoring.

This is somewhat related but I’ve had a feeling recently that we’re headed to a lottery system at some point like the other major leagues now.

Dennis knows where all the bodies are buried. What bodies, I dunno, but he knows. There can be no other explanation.
