I love it and eat it as much as I can.

Two years ago I went to a place in Dallas where you sit at a conveyor belt and random items come out and you grab it. I didn't have high hopes because I thought it would be things like California rolls and cafeteria style sushi, but I was completely wrong. It was super legit. They put out almost every kind of roll and Nigiri you could imagine. It was amazing.

I'm not too big on sashimi though. Mixed in the right kind of salad it's pretty good, but just on its own it's just meh to me.

Heading to Lafayette tomorrow. What's a good sushi place there?

Only had Shangri-La in Laffy, but it was pretty good.

I remember going during happy hour and there being great sushi deals.

the place I came from, they call this bait.....

I love sushi and we eat it regularly (at least once every 10 days or so). We usually stick with certain things but I will eat most of what typical places have (I don't like the unagi and have never had the quail egg).

Love me some Uchi Sushi on Causeway, Johnny's the man w/ his rolls... Their filet mignon and po-boy rolls are my favorites...

I used to eat there as Little Tokyo all the time. Planning on going here as soon as I can ask someone to go with me without sayin Uchi Suchi. Don't even ask me to say it three times fast. :covri:

I love sushi but don't get into the cooked or deep fried stuff. Anything with tuna or salmon with some roe and I'm all in.

The thing I don't understand about Uni is how, with the simple act of pressing it against the roof of your mouth, it can so completely liquefy.

Hah, yeah, it has a definite texture and flavor that one either loves or hates.

ive been eating it for at least 15 years.... my 10 year old LOVES it

I love sushi. Even my wife, who is allergic to most fish, loves sushi.

There is one that I almost gagged on the first time I tried it...Uni (sea urchin gonads). I was not expecting that texture or flavor..ugh. (I've had it since, and it was okay...since I knew what I was getting myself into - but it's not a staple of my sushi dining experience)

freshness is key to uni. eat it with in 2 days of being caught it's great on the 3rd day it starts getting fishy tasting and loses it's sweetness.
