Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports free-agent TE Bubba Franks (Packers) is close to signing with a team, according to his agent Eugene Mato. Mato would not say which teams have shown interest in Franks or who he would sign with. He expects a deal to get done this week.


Give Bubba his props, he was a very good TE over the years.
