Ok, now THIS one is a retention that I could've done without seeing. So many TE's available in the draft this year that I'd have been ok with seeing a higher-round draft pick used on one. Maybe we still do see one drafted, who knows?

All the retentions simply rachet up the pressure on Kellen Moore to get something out of Allen's starters. If he does, we can at least say "well, it must've been the coaching." If not, then it becomes "wonder why Loomis saddled Moore with all these non-productive players?"

I definitely don't think he is worth 10M a year. Hope I'm wrong and CKM get make him into something in the mold of a 65/750/6 TE.

I had a feeling, they made him into what he is and I am glad he is back. a really good clutch TE and blocker. I can see him getting better!

I'm kind of "meh" on this move, but I guess when you factor in the cap offset it represents, it's not so bad.

Need to see the structure to see how much of a commitment this truly is to a barely marginal player.

Underwhelmed by the signing and a rare case where I feel the void year mechanic has forced a decision / removed leverage from negotiations.

I've highlighted that the veteran TE market wages are largely inflated for what you get, but it's also less expensive than starters at many other positions.

His offense uses two TE's and JJ is not much of a blocker or contested catch guy. Warren isn't out of play.
